Here is the important thing to keep in the forefront of your thinking. Like it or not, things are changing. No matter how much we want it to be so, lifestyle as it was in 2019 is not likely to return. As the sitting president loves to bill himself as clever and pragmatic, rather than help navigate new waters, he is ridiculously clinging to the past (and some may rightly argue a past that existed in the 1950s).
We need calm, clear leadership to help navigate the future. No longer can we be as cavalier about general human contact, both for our physical health and our mental health, how we look upon and respect one another. None of this guidance should be politicized, but that is where we find ourselves these days.
We must try to separate the noise from the reality.
It didn’t happen overnight — nor even on that day in 2016. The country has been on a very bumpy journey for well over 200 years, and we have now arrived at THE crossroads — moving forward, it is really down to a choice of one path or the other. We all have a good idea as to where these paths take us, and we have probably made up our minds where we want to head — but please, try to make that choice with a level head and without fear and divisive rhetoric dictating how we take in information.
Remember among other things:
• inclusion and sharing are not purely Socialist/Communist goals
• properly trained, informed, and non-militaristic police are not necessarily a bad thing
• science is a constantly changing thing, but scientific method is a good way of finding out truth, and mistakes (and a good scientist, always takes in new information – even if it is contradictory)
• and the environment IS a delicate thing.
Be careful, stay healthy, safe, be informed, and VOTE!!!
