“Furry, green, eye
In a furry, green, hole;
It’s a furry, green, atom bowl.
Furry, green, eye
In a furry, green, bowl;
It’s a furry, green, atom bowl.”

This day marks one full year of an experiment in which I would daily match one of my images with a song lyric. It has been a journey both fun and challenging thus far. I have enjoyed many opportunities for both revisiting favorite songs and images from my archives, as well as discovering new music and taking new pictures.
I hope you have enjoyed the work so far. While a plethora of lyrics, ancient and otherwise, still ping-pong through my memory, some of my images haven’t always readily connected to a particular song I knew. While initially, I leaned on the internet just to check the accuracy of the lyrics from which I drew, I must admit that I selected some appropriate tunes from a lyric search for a word or theme, but not always from a song I already knew. (My “rule” was that I had to at least be familiar with the performing artist or composer — today’s choice, for instance, comes from Robyn Hitchcock, some of whose work I am familiar, but from a song which I previously had not heard — at least Mr. Hitchcock made one iTunes sale today.)
There were times in which neither a song nor search yielded an appropriate match and so occasionally a picture of which I was fond did not make the cut.
So moving forward, I may mix things up a bit. I may pepper in simple captions or even the odd snide witticism.
Thanks for reading and viewing — we now return control of your interwebs to your usual meanderings until tomorrow at this same time.
