Emiliano Diez, or “Papi” as I like to call him, is one of the most fearless actors with whom I ever had the pleasure to work. He starred in the ground-breaking Spanish language series, “Los Beltrán” in 1999 and 2000, many episodes of which I was fortunate to get to direct (and no, I don’t really speak Spanish – another post for another day). Those two seasons were among the most pleasurable experiences I ever had. Papi would try anything — he might question it, but only to fully understand it, and if it wasn’t right, he’d find a way to fix it – and make it better.
I had the great pleasure to work with him again on “Anger Management” (during which I captured this image). He is still actively working, and I can not more sing his praises him more.
